The West Tower 50x40cm

This painting, part of the Memmingen city Collection, is inspired by the Western gate of Memmingen, that was built as a high span-roofed gateway in the 14th century. It was partially destroyed during the 30 Years War. The current octagonal form with a dome was constructed in 1660.
